Welcome to the IV International Ágora on Education, Leadership and Employment!

Welcome Message

PROF. José Luís Canito Lobo

International Congress Chair

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the IV International Ágora on Education, Leadership, and Employment (www.agora-portugal.pt), which will take place from 28 to 30 November 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Atlantic University.
This is the fourth edition following the success of the previous three, held in Badajoz, Madrid, and Coimbra, establishing itself as an Iberian event that brings together both countries.

While you have all the necessary information on the website (www.agora-portugal.pt), allow us to remind you of some points that will surely be important for you when deciding on your participation in this event:

The Ágora is conceived as a 4+361 space for international meeting and connection that integrates all educational levels, from “cradle to grave”, encompassing formal as well as non-formal and informal learning, in a multidisciplinary manner, promoting improvement in educational models in line with the current competency-based learning approach. It incorporates the advantages of a congress, forum, and/or multi-meeting space… but goes beyond, surpassing the “always doing the same thing to get the same results,” with proposals that lead, more than to innovation, to revolution through solutions.

It is not limited to the university environment, traversing the levels prior to university in education and the professional world where, from graduates to employers, there is today an interest in COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING, the guiding thread of the Ágora project.

Among many others, we could highlight, for example, the following advantages:

  • Presenting your work, experiences, ideas, … in the dedicated space, with the possibility of subsequent publication.
  • Attending to learn about the latest developments, what is being done elsewhere and how, what you could do if you want to innovate, across the scope (education, research, and employment) of Ágora.
  • The possibility of forming a NODE in the Ágora Network, specifying what it can offer to society in the context of Education, Research, and Employment, and its interests. Without limits.
  • Participating in the Ágora network generated by activating connections with other NODES of interest to promote synergies and joint projects, and participating in social projects proposed by other nodes and the opportunities they generate.
  • The only Iberian event that addresses the essential pillars of our society, education, research, and employment, thus closing the circle that humanizes us.

There are various participation modalities, from simple attendance to improve your knowledge of the topics covered and learn about “the latest” in the different ZonAgoras spaces covered by the event, to the submission of works in different formats, which will be informed through the website created for this purpose.

Various ways of disseminating the presented works and experiences are offered and promoted by the Organization, ranging from the publication with ISBN of the abstracts book and additional publications, Octaedro book (Q1 in education), to various journals in which to disseminate the presented works.
…and many more benefits that you can discover by delving into what the Ágora will represent through the website www.proyectoagora.com and its social networks.

Looking forward to your participation in this exciting event we celebrate in Lisbon, we take this opportunity to send you a warm greeting.

Meanwhile, be happy.
